A Grunt Developer is someone used to fill the resource hole, someone to work on all of the boring shit that nobody else wants to do. Grunt Developer works exactly the company hours, they never work overtime because they need to get home to watch the football or gossip about other people's (fictional) lives in their favourite soap operas.
Grunt Developer's have no style, no flair and no creative genious, still, they have no need for these things because all they do is the boring shit nobody else wants to do.
Grunt Developer traits: Don't give a hoot about the project, never work over, never read books or articles to further themselves. When questioned about these things they always answer that they don't have time because the 'footie' is important to them.
Grunt Developer does not do Code fu.
In fairness it might be that Grunt Developer's have a life and the rest of us are just hacking a life out.
