I get loads of junk email, and I do mean loads. The most I have got in one go is 81, this isn't because I don't check my email but because my email address seems to have found it's way onto many lists. When I first started getting junk email I ignored it, pretending that it wasn't there. After a few months of this I got fed up with it and instead I started replying to the emails asking to be removed from their system.
Sadly it didn't work and I now suspect that by replying to these people I was instead confirming my existence, and so my email address ended up on more mailing lists.
I made a big mistake once (only once?). I used a site submission service for one of my sites and stupidly used my real email address. I forgot about it until I checked my email after a weekend away, and found masses of junk email. Throughout the following days and weeks the junk dropped off to a steady flow of around 20 to 50 per day which is where it is now.
I don't know how I did it but for some reason I get a lot of Spanish emails too. I don't read or speak Spanish so I have no idea of their content but I do know they have the same telltale junk email look about them. Very odd.

My favourites right now are the emails that start "This is not Spam", of course it is. Or the ones that say that they are not Spam because of some congressional law passing or something similar. I don't give a damn if another country has made it law for these jokers to peddle their crap in their own country. I'm not in the US and their Spam clogs my plumbing.
Do these people even care about who they send their crap to? I don't see how they could be interested when they don't even know what continent I'm on. They know nothing about me yet they still churn out the same garbage. I'm always thrilled to receive the same "Make money now" message from three different losers, all claiming to have found the secret to fleecing like minded losers of their hard earned cash.
I wonder how much Internet traffic is used by these emails. Honestly I have no need for a cable descrambler (even if it is sold for educational purposes), nor do I currently need Herbal Viagra, a Multi Level Marketing plan or health insurance, and I'm not a "Fellow Entrepreneur" wishing to receive news on the hottest scam errm, scheme.
I can't unsubscribe because usually there is no unsubscribe instructions. I can't get off their lists so it looks like I'm destined to be bombarded with this crap forever.
What can I do?
